Arrived in Florence...Bellissimo!

Taking the train was an adventure with our heavy luggage, but "him strong" came through....me!! Also found out that the nice helpful Italian lady who showed us which train platform we were leaving from, followed us onto the train and then asked many times for money...damn Gypsy's got us again. They are sneaky!

Our train ride to Florence was 1.5 hours  through beautiful Tucson countryside. The train averaged 230k/h or 145mph! Holy pasta marinara batman. That was fast!!

Then, we had a 45 min. wait for a taxi to take us all of 1 kilometer!!! I could of dragged the bags that far. Oh well. Amy got to see all the places she wanted to go Shopping along the way (Gucci, Prada, ferrogamo, Hermes). Ching Ching!

We love our hotel and have our own 5th floor patio with the sounds and yummy smells of the city!

 We had a great lunch (see the picture of Amy's yummy salmon) shopped, napped and now are gearing back up to go out to dinner at 9:00pm. What a blast!

Tomorrow we are off on a tour of the chiante region including a bunch of wine tasting. Salute!!!
