R&R day!

With no big agenda today, we slept in, enjoyed the hotel breakfast fair and then headed down the coast to Chiavari (3 train stops South) to do some shopping. The wind was up, the seas were choppy and it rained on and off and on. No big deal, but thank god we hiked Cinque Terre and I had my swim in the flat & calm Med. Sea yesterday!  

Today, one goal was to buy another suitcase, since the amount of wine & presents we have purchased so far is in excess of our current capacity!! Haha. Guess who gets to haul it on and off the trains? Right! Me!!! Oh well, beats shipping it home time-wise and Just about the same price!! However, when we said we would be be back in 20 min and she said 3:15, we thought that meant they closed at 3:15. Wrong!! We she meant was the went to lunch and reopened at 3:15. We had to wait 2 hours for them to open back up. We ended up taking a train back to the hotel for our own siesta and going back at 5pm to pick it up.  It was all good. When she heard our story, she knocked 10 euros off the price and gave Amy a gift bag!!

Tomorrow we are off to our last city...Venice. Can't wait!

We found this little wine store where the owner was an a artist and drew on his corks. We tried to buy a few for Haley, but wouldn't sell. Darn it. I will give Haley a bag of my cords, and I am sure she can do the same!!!

This artist is touching up the facades in the old buildings. From a distance it really looks 3-d. 

At dinner. Amazing sea food dinner tonight overlooking the harbor. Yum.
