Wet, but still beautiful Chianti!!

Today we met our guide at piazza de repiblicca, along with 3 other nice couples and headed up into the Chianti region for a wine tasting and castles tour. Unfortunately it started to rain, but we still had beautiful views and the wine tasting was in doors. We went to 2 different vineyards and had private tastings with the history of the region, wine and  wine making process. Very cool!!  Amy kept dumping her wine in my glass, which made for a nice nap for me on the ride back! 

Also had wild bore stew with porcini (mushroom) pasta and more wine for lunch. 

What beautiful country it is, with huge villas and castles dating back to 800ad on several hilltops. 

Time again flor another nap to recharge before dinner tonight!
