Today we did 2 back to back museum tours in Florence. This is what Makayla would have hated had she come with us. Lots of lines, waiting and so many artists interpretations of Mary and the baby Jesus, that I can't even count. Ugggh we singed up for "Skip the line" tours. What that means is skip the standard line and still wait in the tour line!!! Haha. The Gypsies got us again! We Went to both the Academia and the Ufuzzi galleries. Michelangelo's David was worth then price of admission by itself! No picture taking allowed in there though, sorry. Amy did comment however on how many smallish uncircumcised schnitzels there were on the statues. We made a game of counting them to avoid getting bored and I have to say that I don't understand I thing. If I was going to take 5 years out my life to carve a huge statue out if marble, I would for sure make the guys equipment a lot bigger! I actually walked out if there feeling really good about what God gave me!! Hahaha! (I really shouldn't blog after drinking wine).
We then tackled the Steak Florentine at Za-Za's ristorante, which you saw in the last post. After dinner Amy, who is still in search of the "Best" Gellato in Florence found yet another candidate with excellent texture, but only an 8/10 on flavor. I'm sure before we leave she will have tried all the stores and hopefully found her "Holy Grail" of Gellato!
Enjoy the pictures. Tomorrow we go wine tasting in Sienna and other small Tuskn towns. Can't wait!!!
